As many as ten thousand motorcyclists from across the country have been gearing up for the forty-first annual Phil Peterson's Key West Poker Run.
The three day event got underway on Friday (9/20) and will cover 113 miles of Florida highway.
Riders received poker sheets when they registered, and will draw cards at designated stops along the route. Entrants who draw the ten best poker hands are eligible to play in a winner-take-all round of Texas Hold 'em, set for 11 p.m. Eastern on Saturday (9/21).
The poker run raises money for diabetes research and the Key West Sunrise Rotary Club.
Overnight look for passing clouds and a few flurries. Bundle up and watch for icy patches on roads and sidewalks. Lows in the upper teens and low 20s.
The cold stays with us for a few more days with highs around freezing.
Looks like another storm system moving in to start the weekend. This one will likely bring a mix of snow, sleet, and rain. Stay tuned.
