A Nissan sedan was speeding down San Fernando Blvd. near Scott Rd just after 4 in the morning when the driver lost control, slammed into a concrete wall and the car burst into flame; killing 5 victims and injuring a 6th teenager - according to Burbank Police.

"You grow up with this people and it's hard to take this all in," said Ruby Alvarado who was friends with several of the victims.

Dozens of friends and family members gathered at the scene through the day, they tell FOX 11 the victims are: Stephen Stoll , Sebastian Forero, Malak Hariri, Sugey Cuevas, and Sameer Navarez.  The teens are recent graduates of Burroughs and Burbank high schools.

Friends say some were enrolled in College, they're described as kind happy people who always enjoyed life.

"These people were always fun, fun to be around.  If you wanted to be out and party they were the people to be with. You always had a good times with them," said Alvarado.

According to friends the teens were heading home from a party when they crashed.  Clara Cruz's daughter was good friends with one of the victims.  Clara describes the tragic accident is a parent's worst nightmare, "This is devastating. My daughter is devastated because she's lost more than 1 friend in this accident. So it's devastating and I can't imagine what the parents are going through.

The Burbank Police Department is waiting for autopsy results to confirm the victims' identities and whether alcohol was a factor.

A family friend of the 18-year-old victim who survived says she has a dislocated hip, two broken bones in her leg and had to get metal rods put in, due to her injuries. She is expected to recover.
