Police in Duxbury investigate report of suspicious man

DUXBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Duxbury are investigating a report of a suspicious man who approached a young girl on Washington Street Saturday.

The girl told police the man approached her while she was walking her dog on Washington Street near Surplus Street at about 5:25 p.m. The male suspect was driving, pulled over abruptly, and then allegedly began asking her about her dog.

Police said the girl ran home, and the man drove away in the direction of Hall's Corner. The man did not make any attempt to grab the girl or get her into his car.

The suspect car is described as an older maroon, four-door American sedan with rust on the fenders and rear bumper.

The suspect is described as a tall white man between the ages of 30 and 35. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a Washington Redskins logo.
