CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Cambridge are asking for the public's help identifying a male suspect who allegedly robbed a bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
According to police, the man entered the East Boston Savings Bank located at 2172 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge at about 9:05 a.m. He allegedly pointed a black pistol at tellers and threatened to harm them if they did not comply with his demand for money.
Police said the suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a thin, white male approximately 50-years-old and 5'7" to 5'10" tall. He also has gray hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a green military-style hat, a dark-colored jacket, dark green cargo-style pants, and white shoes. He was carrying a black bag or backpack. He placed the money in white bag he removed from the black one.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
