CONCORD, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A wanted fugitive being sought on two outstanding warrants, including one for failing to maintain his sex offender registration, was arrested in New Hampshire Thursday night.
Timothy Dobias, 26, was taken into custody in Keene, N.H. by the U.S. Marshals – N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force. He was being sought by the Keene Police Department on a warrant for the sale of heroin and by the Troy Police Department for failing to maintain his sex offender registration.
Dobias is required by law to register as a sex offender due to a 2006 conviction in Cheshire County, N.H. for felonious sexual assault.
During an investigation, authorities learned Dobias had access to firearms. Members of the task force went to several locations throughout the southwest corner of N.H. and located Dobias unarmed in a parking lot on Winchester Street.
Dobias was turned over to the Keene Police Dept. and will be held pending his initial court appearance.
