Report: biker in road rage attack to turn himself in

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The man wanted for bashing the window of an SUV in a road rage incident in Manhattan reportedly plans to turn himself into the NYPD as early as Friday.

The NY Post names Reginald Chance, 38, of Brooklyn as the man who used his helmet to break the driver side window of a Range Rover with a family inside.

Alexian Lien, 38, was dragged out of the SUV and beaten. Video of the incident has captured headlines around the world.

Lien and his family issued a statement through their attorney on Thursday.

The family called the bikers a "mob of reckless and violent motorcyclists."

In an exclusive interview with Fox 5 News, Chance said he was struck by the SUV and retaliated by smashing the window.

Biker Edwin Mieses was badly injured when Lien ran over him as he tried to flee a violent reaction to a fender bender that eventually lead to the attack.  Mieses' wife says he is now paralyzed.

Well-known attorney Gloria Allred is representing Mieses. Allred and Mieses family members are expected to hold a news conference on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in response to the letter.
