MYFOXNY.COM -

The first Monday in October is the day to wear blue for World Day of Bullying Prevention.

Abuse -verbal and physical, in and out of school, and often online, is a serious problem among the nation's youth.

"With the Internet came such bullying that it now happens online and in school.  It gets dangerous when kids start getting threatening. They threaten with a weapon or get physical," said Ross Ellis, CEO and Founder, Stomp Out Bullying.

To help promote awareness, FOX Sports is running a public service announcement that includes a message from former NY Giant Michael Strahan to "stomp out" bullying.

Richie Sambora spent 30 years as the lead guitarist of rock band Bon Jovi. Nowadays, he's touring with Orianthi, the former lead guitarist for the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “We’ve been tearing it up. It’s been the improvisational thing. It’s a very exciting thing," said Sambora during Good Day New York. The New Jersey native from "a blue collar, working class family" missed home and watching his daughter grow.
