Ana Ortiz: You Have To Have Tremendous Heart For This Show

Posted: Updated:

Ana Ortiz admits she had a painful childhood.  Not because of any emotional trauma, but because she was a ballet dancer for nine years.

"I broke down so badly." said Ana, co-star of "Devious Maids" and "Ugly Betty" before that.  "I was on point for a year and a half, and my toes were bleeding through the toe shoes.

And when asked why she would put herself through that, Ana tells Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A., "That's what dancers do.  You have to have tremendous heart and soul.  It's a nightmare."

Next, for the young Ana Ortiz was singing, and eventually the acting profession which has earned her lots of fans, something for which she is very grateful.  "They are the most devoted fans."
