Police say a Fowlerville woman used her pregnancy as a means to attempt an escape from jail.

Lynn Dennis-Sessions used red Kool-Aid to give the appearance that she was bleeding and that something was wrong with her unborn baby. She was transported to a nearby hospital where a doctor confirmed Dennis-Sessions was, in fact, not bleeding and had been faking distress, police say. Officials then learned that she was planning to use the hospital visit to break out of jail.

Dennis-Sessions was in jail after pleading guilty to operating a meth lab in October 2012. She also entered a plea deal as a habitual offender after the attempted escape. She faces life in prison now and will be sentenced in November.
