Japan has always been an innovative country, but here's a new product that may surprise you. On Japanese shelves today: the world's first wine for cats. No, not a joke, the "Nyan Nyan Nouveau" bottles are intended exclusively for feline consumption. In Japanese, "nyan nyan" is equivalent to "meow meow."
The pet supplement company B & H Lifes is introducing the cat wine for those wanting to celebrate special occasions with their best furry friends.
The wine actually contains no alcohol, but it does have juice made from Cabernet grapes, vitamin C and catnip. The combo supposedly tastes like red wine.
So far, no reviews from the notoriously finicky creatures as to whether a nice mouse Merlot might be preferable.
