Man Wanted For Attempted Abductions And Sex Assault In Juniata

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man they say grabbed two women and assaulted a third. It happened in Juniata Park. Police say in two of the three incidents the suspect had a gun when he tried to force each of the women into a driveway.

"I'm very scared," said one woman walking down O Street.

The most recent incident happened just before 7:30 Tuesday morning on the 4200 block of Neilson Street. Police say the man appeared from a driveway and approached a 15 year old girl walking toward Hunting Park Avenue. She ignored him and police say the suspect grabbed her arm and threatened her but she was able to break way.

"There are a lot of kids out here everyday and it's very scary," said a neighbor.

Police say the other two incidents happened last Thursday. The first and the most violent was at 6:30 in the morning on the 1400 block of East Lycoming Avenue. A 22-year old woman on the way to Erie Torresdale Train Station told police the suspect had a silver handgun, forced her into a driveway and sexually assaulted her before robbing her of 30 dollars.

Police say five hours later, a few blocks away on O Street, a 20 year old woman says a man fitting the same description tried to force her into a driveway behind a bar but a car pulled up and the suspect ran off.

The suspect has a goatee and spaces between his top teeth.

If you have information about this suspect, you are asked to call Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
