Police Release Surveillance Video Of Assault Suspect

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia Police have just released surveillance video of the man they're looking for in connection with attempted abductions and a sex assault.

Investigators say the man attacked women between 15 and 22 years of age.

The most recent incident happened just before 7:30 Tuesday morning on the 4200 block of Neilson Street.

Police say the man appeared from a driveway and approached a 15 year old girl walking toward Hunting Park Avenue. She ignored him and police say the suspect grabbed her arm and threatened her but she was able to break way.

Police say the other two incidents happened last Thursday. The first and the most violent was at 6:30 in the morning on the 1400 block of East Lycoming Avenue. A 22-year old woman on the way to Erie Torresdale Train Station told police the suspect had a silver handgun, forced her into a driveway and sexually assaulted her before robbing her of 30 dollars.

Police say five hours later, a few blocks away on O Street, a 20 year old woman says a man fitting the same description tried to force her into a driveway behind a bar but a car pulled up and the suspect ran off.

If you have information about this suspect, you are asked to call Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
