The Michigan State College of Music is launching an artist in residence program thanks to a $1 million grant from the MSU Federal Credit Union. Saxophonist Antonio Hart is the first of three scheduled Jazz artists that will mentor young people in the classroom and perform on stage across the state.
Hart and Rodney Whitaker, the head of Jazz Studies at MSU, will perform on Saturday, October 19th at St. Matthew's/St. Joseph's Episcopal Church at 8850 Woodward Ave. Show time is 4:00 p.m..
