WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Worcester man charged with possessing bomb-making materials was taken into custody after authorities executed a search warrant at his Pleasant Street home Tuesday.

Authorities located 21-year-old Marc Aldana, who was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants, inside his apartment located at 49 Pleasant Street at about 10:35 a.m.

The warrant had been issued for Aldana's arrest in connection with an incident involving a paid detail officer on Mill Street, in which Aldana was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and failing to stop for an officer.

Inside Aldana's apartment, authorities, including a bomb technician with the Mass. State Police, collected chemicals and powders which can produce an incendiary device when mixed together.

Aldana was charged with possession of incendiary substance.

The investigation is ongoing.
