MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Some Plymouth County residents received a reverse 911 call asking for any information related to a fatal Middleborough hit-and-run.

Abington police notified their residents about the phone call by releasing the message on Facebook Wednesday.

District Attorney Timothy Cruz's office is asking for any information related to the crash that took place on Wood Street in Middleborough Friday. Michael Dutra, 58, was struck at about 7 p.m. as he was riding or walking his bike along the road.

Investigators believe the suspect fled in a 2005 to 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep likely has a missing or broken right front marker lens, shattered right headlight lens, and right front bumper damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Middleborough Police Department at (508) 947-1212 or State Police at (508) 947-2222.
