Former Playboy Model Spanish Teacher Reportedly Dismissed
The Dallas high school Spanish teacher who came under fire for posing for Playboy has reportedly been fired.
Cristy Nicole Deweese posed for Playboy back in 2011 when she was still in college. She was even Coed of the Month in the February 2011 issue of Playboy. Deweese was in her first year teaching Spanish in the Dallas Independent School District when her past came to light. When the kids found out about it and parents complained that she was a distraction, the school reportedly dismissed her.
Neither Deweese nor the school has officially confirmed that she lost her job. However, her students say they've had two different substitutes teachers in the last several days, and there's also a series of tweets on the teacher's Facebook page that seem to indicate she's no longer employed.
Now, her students have rushed to her defense.
On Deweese's Twitter, she says she misses her students and mentions a petition they have started to try and get her job back. According to her tweet, the petition has more than 300 signatures. Deweese also tweeted a picture of the petition.
In the meantime, it appears that the ex-teacher is re-launching her modeling career. On October 10, Deweese tweeted, "Just reactivated my model mayhem account." She has reportedly also reached out to another Playboy model for modeling jobs.
Miss Deweese's pictures are available for all to see online, including the teenage boys she once taught.
