Man dies after fall from billboard near Turner Field

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A man fell to his death while working on a billboard near Turner Field on Friday, the Atlanta Police Department said.

Witnesses said Keith Fenton and a team of workers were modifying a billboard at 735 Pollard Avenue when a small piece of metal broke loose on the catwalk. Fenton stopped his work to remove the safety hazard, according to Demetrice Sewell.

"He picked it up and he went to walk to put it out the way, and he tripped and fell," said Sewell.

Fenton, 53, fell into the Bullpen Rib House parking lot and died.

Fenton was the owner of Quality Posting Services. His workers said he'll be missed.

"He was a good guy, and a great boss," said Nathan Ledbetter.

Workers said he had done that type of work for 20 years. They said he had just celebrated his first anniversary with his wife.
