Investigators have spent another day interviewing the two men labeled as persons of interest, but sources tell Fox 2, at this point, the men don't appear to be connected to the murder of Tiane Brown, the Wayne State Law student found dead earlier this week.

Police say the search began early Tuesday morning when Brown's family reported her missing. Wayne State police started searching immediately and pieced together a timeline, sources tell Fox 2. The investigation revealed Brown made a phone call while on Wayne State's campus around 10 p.m. Monday.

Then the outgoing calls stop.

Then Tuesday evening a purchase was attempted at a gas station on Detroit's east side using her credit card.

Wednesday morning Brown's phone is back on and police track it to two men, the two people now in custody investigators have been questioning.

One of the men told police where he found the cell phone, in an SUV sitting near the old Packard Plant - the one where Brown's body was also found shot to death inside. She had been shot in the head.

Sources believe one person of interest saw the SUV, went in and took the phone and didn't bother to call police about the body inside.

Meanwhile Detroit police are interviewing everyone they can, including those closest to her. If you have any information that could aid in the investigation call Detroit police.

Meanwhile, a fund has been established to assist Brown's three children she leaves behind. The details below come from WSU's website.

Wayne State President M. Roy Wilson announced that the university would establish a fund to assist Brown's children. The details on how to contribute are now available.

Checks should be made payable to Wayne State University and reference "The Tiane Brown Fund" on the memo line.  If donors would like notification to be sent to the Brown Family, they should provide their full contact information.

Checks can be addressed to:

Wayne State University

Detroit, MI  48202

Credit card donations can be made by calling the Wayne State Fund Office at 313-577-2263 or 577-2275 or by visiting giving.wayne.edu.

Wilson also announced that, after discussion with the WSU Board of Governors, Wayne State will offer free tuition to Brown's three children if they choose to attend the university. Brown will receive her law degree posthumously in May 2014, when she was scheduled to graduate.
