BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The World Series trophy belongs to the Red Sox. The city has celebrated with the team. Now it's time for the players to shave their playoff beards.
On Monday morning, the Series' Most Valuable Player David Ortiz, fan favorite Shane Victorino, Boston police officer and bullpen cop Steve Horgan, and one bearded Red Sox fan will head to Gillette headquarters in Boston to get rid of their scruff.
Horgan gained instant fame as cameras caught his excited reaction to David Ortiz' grand slam against the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS.
Gillette will make a $100,000 donation to the One Fund for the event.
Bearded fans itching to shave next to Ortiz, Victorino and Horgan should head to Gillette's Facebook and Twitter pages for a chance to win the opportunity.
