RECALL: Snoopy Sno-Cone Machines may cause harm to kids

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

LaRose Industries is recalling 102,000 Cra-Z-Art Snoopy Sno-Cone Machines.

The New Jersey-based company has called back the toys because a brass rivet could fall out of the ice-shaving cylinder and into a sno-cone, which could cause children injuries to their mouth or teeth.

There have been 64 reports of the brass rivets falling out, but no injuries have been reported thus far.

The batch numbers of the recalled toys can be found on the back of the white plastic doghouse on the side of the box.

Affected Batch Numbers:

  • BCH003005A28-0812
  • BCHTRU001A17-0812
  • BCHTRU004A16-0712

The units were sold between Sept. 2012 and July 2013 at Toys R Us, Barnes and Noble stores and online at Amazon.com for about $15.

Consumers should stop using the sno-cone makers immediately.

Please contact LaRose Industries toll-free at (855) 345-4593 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or by email at recall@laroseindustries for a FREE repair kit.

Please do not return the sno-cone machines to the store.
