Man killed by NYC subway train

NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a person was struck and killed by a subway train in Brooklyn.

It occurred shortly before midnight Wednesday. Police say a man was found unconscious on the northbound tracks of the C train, between the Franklin Avenue and Clinton Street/Washington Avenue stations.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. It wasn't immediately clear how the victim wound up on the tracks.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
