The Morning Show Producer Wrap Up: Friday

Updated:

Man this has been a long, drawn out week! Happy that it is Friday…I’m not off Monday…but I am happy to have the weekend!

Fresh off the American Idol finale Winner Caleb Johnson and Runner-Up Jena Irene came into the studio to talk about the American Idol season, what’s next for each of them and of course prom. These guys are great and so far seem grounded. I hope the music industry doesn’t eat them up. I have to admit, I actually like the new single song that Caleb is recording…I may actually even download it.

Here’s the thing… I wasn’t prepared to like Candy Spelling. I thought she was going to be stuck up, closed off etc. Man was I wrong. Candy is great. She is open about everything and she is as sweet as can be. We even chatted about her getting back into the dating pool. She has a guy who wants to go out with her…but she is nervous. She hasn’t dated since she was 18 and met Aaron Spelling. I told her to go at least with this guy to coffee. Worst case scenario…he becomes friends. Candy’s written a new book called "Candy at Last". In it, she talks about life after the death of her husband, Aaron Spelling...along with everything else from dating to her new career path.

Garth brooks.. George Jones.. The Dixie Chicks.. Trisha Yearwood and Sara Evans, they've all cut songs written by George Ducas. But now after years of taking a break from recording his own stuff., he came back strong late last year with his first full solo album in 13 years. George came on the show today and hung out with Maria and Steve.

Today was photobomb Friday. There is nothing I like more than photo bombing someone’s picture. I love photo bombing especially Maria, Maria and Araksya! It makes me happy. I am with Stormy our segment producer.

And my final pic of the day is Steve in front of the American flag. Happy Memorial Day weekend!
