Patriots remind fans of security measures ahead of frigid Sunday night game

Posted: Updated:

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- With record cold temperatures expected, the New England Patriots are asking fans planning to attend Sunday night's game to prepare their extra layers for the screening lines.

The Patriots released the reminder Saturday, telling fans that they can bring extra layers of clothing and blankets into the stadium. They note, however, that fans should drape their extra belongings over their arms to make the screening process easier.

Fans are reminded that the only bags allowed inside NFL venues must be clear and no larger than 12"x6"x12." Small clutches are considered an exception, as long as they do not exceed 7"x4"x2."

FOX 25 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz expects Artic air to move into southern New England early Sunday. While game time temps at Gillette Sunday night for the Patriots vs. the Broncos will be 24, "feels like" temps will drop to the teens and single digits due to wind chills.
