DETROIT (AP) -- A 25-year-old man has been charged in a shooting at a nightclub that wounded the mayor of the Detroit enclave of Highland Park.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office announced Tuesday that Jair A. Harris of Eastpointe faces charges including felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon and careless discharge of a firearm causing injury.

Harris is due in court Tuesday afternoon for an arraignment. The prosecutor's office says it didn't know if he had a lawyer yet.

DeAndre Windom was shot in the leg at Key Club near downtown Detroit shortly before 2 a.m. on Nov. 17. He was treated at a hospital. Police have said a dispute unrelated to Windom escalated into the shooting.

No other injuries were reported.
