Man Robs Same Cell Phone Store Twice, Police Say

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Police are looking to identify the man who robbed a Metro PCS store multiple times in Belmont.

On Nov. 16 at 5 p.m., an unknown male armed with a handgun entered a MetroPCS store located on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue. Police say the suspect demanded money from an employee behind the counter.

After the employee gave the suspect cash from the register, the suspect ran off and was last seen headed west on Lancaster Avenue.

Then, on Friday at about 6:30 p.m., the suspect returned to the same MetroPCS store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register, police say. Then, he pointed the handgun at a customer and got more money before running off.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 25 years-of-age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with dark complexion, scruffy facial hair and wearing a dark-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt.

If you see this suspect do not approach him; call 9-1-1 immediately, police say.
