CANTON, Mass. ( -- A 45-year-old Dorchester man is accused of having $1,500 worth of Crystal Meth on him at the time of his arrest on Thanksgiving night.

Michael Scanlon was held on $1 million bail after his arrest on a possession of a class B substance charge in Canton.

Police were called to the area of Cynthia Road and Randolph Street at about 8 p.m. Thursday after off-duty officers reported seeing a man standing in the wood line. The man, later identified by police as Scanlon, was donning a yellow reflective "police style" coat and carrying a flashlight. Investigators say he took off when police approached him.

Scanlon was arrested on Randolph Street, at which time officers claim they found him in possession of Methamphetamine.

Canton police say the 45-year-old was arrested in Dec. 2012 by Wellesley police after he was found in possession of $50,000 worth of Crystal Meth during a traffic stop.
