KEENE, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Keene, New Hampshire man was arrested on an armed robbery charge in connection with the robbery of Romy's Market, police reported.
Around 10:40 p.m. Friday, police responded to Romy's Market on Marlboro Street in Keene for a reported robbery. The suspect, Adam J. Burns, 30, allegedly entered the market and demanded cash from the clerk. A handgun was shown and the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
Burns was reportedly wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, off-white gloves and a half-face mask. He was seen leaving the store in a red car and witnesses identified the vehicle's plate number.
Police arrested Burns on an armed robbery charge and a search warrant was executed at his residence. After searching his home, police found several items used during the robbery.
Burns will be held without bail until his arraignment.
During the investigation, police learned that Burns may be connected to the other convenience store robberies in Keene and Swanzey. The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information relating to this case is encouraged to call the Keene Police Department at 603-357-9820.
