Search warrant issued at home of former Lunenburg student

LUNENBURG, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A search warrant was issued Tuesday at a Lunenburg home at the center of a reported racist graffiti investigation.

Officers were in the Phillips home for about an hour Tuesday and they did take something, police reported.

"You're not going to get anything from me besides no comment," Isaac Phillips' father Anthony said. "Okay, I already said everything I have to say. No comment. No comment. Ask the police."

No arrests have been made in the incident. Police officials announced Monday they have failed to find any conclusive evidence linking members of the high school football team to the incident.

In a statement released to FOX 25 Monday, Lunenburg police officials say an investigation is ongoing and they are "very confident" that a conclusion will be forthcoming. The police chief said that they are making progress in the case and confirmed that they spoke with Anthony Phillips.

The  Lunenburg High School football team forfeited the remainder of its games this season after racist graffiti was found spray-painted on a player's home.

"Knights don't need n******," the graffiti read.

Isaac Phillips, the apparent target of the graffiti, is one-quarter black. His father, Anthony Phillips, is half black, and his mother, Brazier, is white.

Brazier reported the graffiti to police, who notified the school.
