If you're looking for a job and want to pick a good company to work for, a company called Glassdoor.com released its list of the best companies to work for--and there are quite a few in Arizona.
Among large companies with offices in the valley, here are four that made Glassdoor's top 50 list:
#18 - SOLAR CITY #21 - SOUTHWEST AIRLINES #31 - MAYO CLINIC #33 - INTEL #36 - FEDEX #37 - CAREER BUILDER #43 - CHICK-FIL-A #47 - TEXAS ROADHOUISE
Nationally, the top place to work is Bain & Company.
"What employees will tell you is they get to travel the world, they get to work with some of the smartest people on the planet and when you leave Bain after consulted on dozens and dozens of engagements, you really know how to run a company and how to build company and solve business problems," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and Co-founder.
Number two on the Glassdoor best places to work list is Twitter.
Just a month after its highly anticipated IPO, the company is also the number one technology company to work for.
"Employees talk about their work having a global impact, which is deeply inspiring to them. But what really makes Twitter special, is this emphatic focus on doing what is best for the user and what's very interesting about Twitter is, is it's a relatively humble company and culture to work at," said Hohman.
One surprise this year is Costco.
It jumped 30 positions in the last year.
Workers will tell you that it's because of the pay and benefits.
"Costco pays their employees very, very well relative to retail. They pay them time and a half on Sundays and they have a great benefits package, even for part-time workers," said Hohman.
One medium-sized valley company came in at number 10: Logos Bible Software.
