Amber Alert Canceled After Girl, 4, Found Unharmed

PALMERTON, Pa. -

UPDATE: Pennsylvania State Police say an Amber Alert activation for the reported abduction of a 4-year-old girl from Carbon County was canceled just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

State police said the girl has been found unharmed.

No additional details were immediately released.

Pennsylvania State Police have issued an Amber Alert after the reported abduction of a 4-year-old girl from Carbon County.

According to the Palmerton Borough Police Department, Kyleigh Simcsuk was abducted by Timothy Simcsuk at approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The man's relationship to the girl was not immediately released. The abduction occurred from Delaware Avenue in Palmerton after he assaulted the child's caregiver, police said.

Timothy Simcsuk was described as 25-years-old, white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. He fled the scene with the child in a dark-green minivan with either a Pennsylvania or California registration.

Police said his direction of travel is unknown at this time.
