Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (AP) - More snow in parts of Michigan has brought hazardous driving conditions blamed for numerous accidents.

The Detroit area saw an inch or two of snow late Monday and early Tuesday, leaving roads snow-covered and slippery. Click here for live traffic updates.

The southwestern portion of the state is under a winter weather advisory until early Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches forecast Tuesday and another 1 to 3 inches expected Tuesday night. Blowing snow is expected to reduce visibility. Officials are urging caution.

An additional inch of accumulation is forecast for southeast Michigan Tuesday.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for much of the state. More than nine inches of snow blanketed southern Michigan in recent days.

In Ionia County, a flood advisory is in effect for the Flat River due to an ice jam. The National Weather Service says area water levels will fluctuate.
