Detroit police officers raided two homes on Rogge Street near Seven Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue, busting a chop house.

Sgt. Jonathan Parnell says the department received anonymous information that suspected chop shop activities at the residences. He says officers took four people into custody, and one of the suspects was armed. Police recovered two other weapons.

Stolen parts from six stolen vehicles were also recovered as well as numerous other car parts in both homes (as seen in the photos).

"We hope we're sending the message to the citizens of Detroit that, through Chief Craig's initiatives, we're out here and we're working hard every single day through the bankruptcies and through the cuts, but we're still out here doing our jobs for the citizens to make things safer and better for them," Parnell says.
