Missing Fitchburg boy's father, volunteers conduct search Saturday

FITCHBURG, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Desperate for clues in the case of missing 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver, dozens of people trekked through snow Saturday looking for any sign of the young boy. Relatives have not seen him since Sept. 14.

Oliver's mother Elsa Oliver and her boyfriend Alberto Sierra were arrested last week in connection with the case. The 5-year-old's disappearance is being looked into as a possible homicide, but the boys' father Jose Oliver and volunteers searching say they're hopeful that's not the case.

"I hope that we can find something, you know what I mean? I just want to find my son, that's it," Jose Oliver said.

He also stated that he's confident police are doing their best, but he's doing everything in his power to help find his little boy.

"I believe the more people the better. Me being the father I can't sit at home and let them do everything. I mean they can do the most important things that I can't do, but I can do the search," he said.

As he continues to search for any sign of his son, he said that what he wants most is for his son's mother to talk to police.

"I would tell her just talk. Give me my son back. If he's alive give him back. If he's not then say he's not, but tell me where he's at so we can bury him."
