Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police in Springfield are looking for three suspects who forced their way into a home on Christmas Eve, attacked a man and stole several gifts from the home.

Detective Sgt. Mark Rolland told the Republican newspaper of Springfield that the victim was immediately pistol-whipped after opening his door at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday night. The man and at least two other occupants of the home, including an 8-year-old child, were then ordered to go to the back of the home in the city's Forest Park neighborhood.

Rolland said the suspects, who were wearing masks, fled after stealing several Christmas gifts, a cellphone and $20 in cash.
