Police: Man took disabled man's cane, beat him with it

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit Police are searching for a man who robbed and then beat a disabled man in a subway stop Saturday night.

The assault was caught on surveillance video in the Andrew Station stop on the Red Line ay about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the suspect stole a disabled man's cane and then beat him with it. The suspect then walked away with the cane.

From a different surveillance video angle, the suspect is seen walking down the station steps with another person. The suspect wore a red jacket, blue hat and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the location or identity of the man is asked to call 617-222-1050. Anonymous tips can also be texted to 873873, or sent in through the SeeSay app.
