PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Some buildings at the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, N.H. were evacuated Wednesday amid concerns that a crane could collapse.

The Naval Shipyard Fire Department responded to reports of an unstable contractor crane just after 8:30 a.m. near building 178, which is currently undergoing renovations.

Nearby buildings were evacuated as crews evaluated if the machine could collapse.

Officials say the crane was secured by late Wednesday morning and workers were allowed to return to their buildings. No injuries or damage was reported.
