NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Newburyport police responded to a report of a medical issue Tuesday to find what is being described as a potential hallucinogenic drug lab.
Police responded to the medical incident outside 2 Christopher St. around 1:45 p.m. to find what appeared to be a Hazmat situation. According to police, a strong hallucinogenic drug was being manufactured there. A sample was taken to the drug lab for analysis.
Since Tuesday's incident, officials said that the house has been secured, and there is no danger to neighbors.
The man with the medical issue was taken and admitted to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
The DEA is still investigating this case.
