ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WJBK) -- Authorities say two firefighters were injured while responding to a large fire at an industrial complex in suburban Detroit.

FOX 2's Roop Raj says firefighters from 10 departments were called to National Precast Inc. on Little Mack Wednesday night. Roseville Fire Chief Mike Holland says there was no one inside the building and the fire was under control by early Thursday.

The business was family-owned and specialized in making concrete panels and roofing.

Around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, firefighters sprayed water on the building northeast of Detroit. They worked in temperatures around zero degrees. "Your body gets tired a lot quicker," said Capt. Todd Trudeau, who said firefighters are rotating shifts to save energy.

Salvation Army officials were on the scene with food for the responders.

Holland says one firefighter injured his foot on a ladder and was taken to the hospital. Raj says a second firefighter injured a hand.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Little Mack was closed between 12 and 13 Mile Road during the morning hours as crews extinguished hotspots.
