Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday in honor of Army specialist from Wareham

WAREHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Gov. Deval Patrick has ordered flags to be lowered to half staff at all state buildings Saturday in remembrance of a soldier originally from Wareham who died in December.

According to his obituary, U.S. Army SPC Ryan Goldie died on Dec. 22 of non-combat injuries.

The 28-year-old resident of Ft. Bliss, TX was born in Wareham and graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School. He was stated in Ft. Bliss at the time of his death.
