Transit police look to identify man who assaulted, robbed woman

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit police are looking for a suspect who attacked and robbed a woman inside the Haymarket MBTA Station last week.

Investigators say the victim was walking through the underpass from the Green Line to the Orange Line at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 6 when a man approached her and said he was armed with a gun. The man can be seen on surveillance video throwing her against a wall and the ground before fleeing the station.

Police say the man was seen earlier with a white female.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the female he was seen with is asked to contact Transit police at  617-222-1050. Tips can be made anonymously to the text a tip line at 873873.
