STOUGHTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- It looks like the Brim Beanie Bandit has been caught.
Daniel Cathcart, 45, of Milton is in custody and charged with two of the bandit's seven bank robberies. As of Friday, investigators believe they have their man.
The Brim Beanie Bandit struck most recently Thursday in Norwell. Sources told FOX 25 that about an hour after that robbery, a detective spotted Cathcart in Braintree.
The detective watched him get into a Honda Accord matching the description of the Brim Beanie Bandit's getaway car. Cathcart was brought in for questioning, and the case mushroomed from there.
Sources told FOX 25 that bank tellers from the two Stoughton bank robberies positively identified Cathcart in a photo array as the man who robbed them during the Brim Beanie Bandit spree.
Daniel Cathcart was in Quincy and Stoughton District Courts Friday. He is facing armed robbery charges, and threats to commit a crime.
Other communities are investigating the case as well, so more charges are likely, but officials believe the Brim Beanie Bandit has been caught.
