Dressed in her favorite shade of pink and cute as a button, Jaylin Gourrie sat back and relaxed as she became a runway model.
"To see her happy and not going through treatment and suffering through so much is just a dream come true to me as a mom," said her mom, Maria Gourrie.
Jaylin is a survivor of neuroblastoma. She has been cancer-free for five years, but needs constant checkups.
"She went a very long time without a smile, through treatment; she's done a lot of chemo, a lot of experimental. We almost lost her a couple of times and it's very emotional to see her so happy," continued Gourrie.
It is her smile that her mom often misses.
"We don't see that smile so much and when we do we try to appreciate it and take it moment by moment," she said.
Many moms got the chance to see their little ones light up Sunday at the 'ultimate day of pampering' hosted by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation at Neiman Marcus.
"It is great to see her happy and running around with everyone else and getting it all about her," said Sandra Raab.
Ava Raab's smiles and jumps lit up the room.
"Oh, she is beside herself. So excited, so excited to have a day away from everything else," offered Raab.
Every mom got the chance to capture their daughter's smiles and to remember this special moment.
"It is amazing," Raab added.
