Arrest made in assault, robbery of woman at MBTA station

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Transit police arrested a 34-year-old Roslindale man who is accused of attacking and robbing a woman inside the Haymarket MBTA station.

Raymond Castillo was arrested Wednesday night on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery.

Castillo's arrest comes just over a week after police released surveillance video and photos of a suspect who robbed a woman inside the T station on Jan. 6.

Investigators say the victim was walking through the underpass from the Green Line to the Orange Line at about 11 p.m. when a man, allegedly Castillo, approached her and said he was armed with a gun. The suspect can be seen on surveillance video throwing her against a wall and the ground before fleeing the station.

Castillo was expected to be arraigned Thursday.
