AUBURN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – While police were arresting a man on child pornography charges Thursday, they found evidence of a meth lab in his home.

Derek A. Ransom, 30, of Auburn, was arraigned Friday on two counts of child pornography. Arrest warrants were issued for manufacture and possession of a class B drug (methamphetamine), officials say.

While arresting Ransom, police found a bucket filled with chemicals similar to what would be used to manufacture methamphetamine. Police found additional drug evidence after searching his home.

The child porn charges came from an investigation by the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, officials say.

If Ransom posts bail, he was ordered to discontinue his use of the Internet, computer monitors and images. He was also ordered to stay away from children under the age of 18.

He was held on held on $20,000 cash bail and his case was continued to Feb. 21.
