Make-A-Wish Foundation Sends 13 Children To The Super Bowl

Posted: Updated:

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is sending thirteen kids across America the Super Bowl.

The foundation held an event to celebrate with famed New Jersey bakery, Carlo's Bakery, who created a special cake dedicated to the children's trip to the game.

The chance to go to the game is met with gratitude from the children.

Carlo's bakery's own Joe Faugno showed his gratitude for the organization.

"This actually means, really, a lot to me," says Matthew Walton. He is currently fighting Crohn's disease

"At a tough time, Make A Wish was there to help us get her through it and, you know, put her mind on different things and thinking about what she could have, what she might want and then she wound up giving her wish back and just wanting to go home." Joey Faugno from Carlo's Bakery said.

"I can't really explain how excited I am. It's just an once-in-a-lifetime experience," cancer survivor, Michael Parchinsky, said.

Super bowl 48 features the Seattle Seahawks going up against the Denver Broncos. Kicks off is this Sunday from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
