NYC public schools open Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014

New York City public schools are open Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.

But school officials say all field trips are canceled Wednesday due to the wintry weather.

Families with busing questions can call the Office of Pupil Transportation at 718-392-8855.

The Archdiocese of New York says Catholic elementary schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island will be closed Wednesday.

Catholic schools in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster, Sullivan, Orange will follow their local public school districts decision regarding school closings or delayed openings.
