Franklin Park Snowfest

Franklin Park in Dorchester
Bring the little ones to go sledding, build snowmen, track animal prints, sip hot chocolate, play board games, and much more. There will be sleds there if you don't have one. The event is co-sponsored by the Boston Parks Dept. and Franklin Park Coalition.
11th Annual Salem's So Sweet Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival

Ice skating in Boston and Foxborough
Liberty Mutual is offering 100 adult skating and rental passes, as well as 100 children's skate rental passes for the Frog Pond on the Common. To learn more, click here.
Another option you may not know about, you can skate under the arch of the Boston Harbor Hotel's rotunda rink. Visitors will have views of the skyline and water.
Winter Skate down at Patriot Place in Foxborough is also open to visitors.

After all these winter activities, one thing we look forward to is a sure sign of spring: truck day! This is the day when the Red Sox moving vans load up for the trek down to the team's spring training home in Lee County, Fla. The trucks leave at 10 a.m. Saturday.
