CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A local high school football star is headed back to the NFL. Mike Kafka has inked a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kafka was a standout quarterback at Chicago's St. Rita of Cascia High School and Northwestern University before he was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL draft.

He played two seasons for Philadelphia before being released. Tampa Bay came calling, and Kafka is now training for the upcoming minicamps.
