Police: Man used Facebook to threaten Dearborn church

DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) -- A Wayne Co. man has been arraigned on terrorism charges after police say he used Facebook to threaten his former church.

Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad says Kevin Bright used the social media web site to make a specific threat against Mt. Moriah Church of God Holiness. The threat resulted in a cancellation of services on Feb. 9.

Bright is charged with false report or threat of terrorism and use of a computer to commit a crime. Both charges are felonies and carry a maximum 20-year penalty.

Bright was arraigned Friday and released on bond.

He is due back in court on Feb. 21.
