GARDNER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Crews from New York traveled to the site of a freight train derailment in Gardner Thursday.The crews were expected to work to get the train back on the tracks after four cars derailed Wednesday afternoon. The cars went onto Main Street and stopped right in the middle of the neighborhood.No one was hurt in the derailment, but the debris forced officials to shut down the town's central road for at least a day.The train was operated by the Providence and Worcester Railroad Company. It was carrying cars at the time of the incident.Residents tell FOX 25 the train hit some electrical wires, but no one lost electricity. The only damage was to the train cars and their cargo. Investigators are working to determine what caused the derailment.
